Companion Classes
Our Companion Classes support our bi-yearly productions through Costuming, Stage Design, Technical Theater and Stage Makeup. These classes are held during the same months as our productions.
Students collaborate across disciplines: performers rely on stage designers, costumers adjust to technical cues, and everyone works toward the shared goal of telling a story. This model mirrors professional environments where communication, adaptability, and problem-solving are essential.
Communication: Students must articulate ideas clearly—whether giving direction, adjusting timing, or conveying emotion—building confidence in public speaking and interpersonal communication.
Problem-Solving: Theater constantly presents challenges, from last-minute costume fixes to technical glitches. Students learn to adapt quickly, think creatively, and work collaboratively to overcome obstacles.
Teamwork: No production succeeds without every role being valued. Students learn respect for different perspectives, appreciation of diverse talents, and the discipline to contribute to a collective vision.
These skills extend well beyond the stage, preparing students for success in school, college, careers, and community life.
